The SUN2000 MB0 series from Huawei is a high-power Smart Energy Controller family (12 kW through 25 kW) designed for larger residential or light-commercial PV systems that want integrated PV+storage capability and advanced safety features. Each MB0 unit features two independent MPPT trackers, a very wide DC operating window (start ≈200 V, max input 1,100 V), and high conversion efficiency (max ≈98.4%, European weighted up to ≈98.2%) for strong energy harvest. The controllers include two Smart String ESS battery terminals (compatible with Huawei LUNA2000-S0 and S1 variants), with high charging capability (up to 21–25 kW depending on model) and rated discharge power matched to each model — enabling fast charging and meaningful backed-up loads.

Safety and grid-compatibility are core to the MB0 design: integrated Arc Fault Circuit Interruption (AFCI), residual current monitoring, DC/AC Type II surge protection, DC reverse-polarity protection, insulation detection and anti-islanding. The enclosures are IP66-rated with smart air cooling and an operating range from −25 °C to +60 °C, allowing flexible outdoor installations.
