The SUN2000-MAP0 series is Huawei’s residential Smart Energy Controller family that combines high-efficiency PV conversion, battery integration and advanced safety in a single, compact three-phase unit. Available in rated outputs from 5 kW up to 12 kW, the MAP0 controller includes two independent MPPT trackers, wide DC input range (160–1000 V, max 1100 V), and peak efficiencies up to ~98.6% (European weighted efficiency up to ~98.2% depending on model). It supports Huawei LUNA batteries (LUNA2000 S0/S1 series), offers battery charging from the grid, and provides true whole-home backup when paired with SmartGuard backup hardware (automatic switchover ≤20 ms with SmartGuard). The unit is built for durability — natural convection cooling, IP66 protection, operation from −25°C to +60°C, and connector temperature monitoring. Safety and grid compliance features include AFCI (arc-fault), RSD (residual current) detection, DC/AC surge protection (SPD Type II compatibility), insulation detection, anti-islanding and overload protection — making it suitable for modern residential installations that demand both performance and safety.
